Before this year’s grandest National Male pageant commences, it’s the opportune time for me to release my Pre-Arrival favorites for Misters of Pilipinas 2015! MISTERS 2015: Here comes Ilocos Norte’s Mister

The Province of Ilocos Norte doesn’t need to send applicants to the screenings of MISTERS 2015 anymore because their representative is already seeded as Official Candidate after winning the regional elimination for Mister Ilocandia 2015.

22 year-old JM dela Cruz, currently employed as a Marketing Officer, does freelance modeling in his free time while regularly helping out in the family’s farm up north. But for the objective of creating a marked impression in the national male pageant, he has been spending a lot more time in the gym to further improve his physique and firm up his stand alongside the other contenders.

Narrowing from 27 final call applicants, the Misters of Pilipinas has finally unveiled the 17 gents who now comprise the official candidates for 2015. The guys who made the cut from the local castings are:

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW with JM dela Cruz, Misters 2015 Candidate

Sashes&Scripts has been able to score an exclusive interview with Mister Ilocandia 2015 and now Misters of Pilipinas official candidate, JM dela Cruz. Here he reveals to us his real name (he was born Johnmar Siuangan), his greatest idol (the late Nelson Mandela who fought against apartheid in South Africa), and his thoughts on the difference in admiration between male and female pageants. The young Ilocano actually shows what is underneath those good looks…

How would you describe yourself… Would you tell us something that most people do not know about you…
I could easily get along with others. I have an outgoing personality. As a brother to my siblings and a son to my parents, I am responsible. I usually see that my younger siblings are pampered and that their needs are taken cared of/ addressed.

What is/are your personal advocacy/ social responsibility program for the competition? And how do you promote such cause?
I want to promote and spearhead “moral recovery” among Filipino citizens. We are plague by series of moral issues and problems in the country like corruption, crime, lack of care for others and nature among others. I want to serve as a role model to the youth in embracing good moral values and to start by showing care to our family and community. I believe that we have the duty to influence other people in doing good deeds.

MISTERS 2015 The Pageant

Misters 2015 The Pageant is now being considered by a number of pageant experts and followers as the competition that will potentially become the male version of Binibining Pilipinas. And I couldn’t agree more. I have seen first-hand how PEPPs (the organizers) is continuing to do its best to elevate the image of male pageants in the country. It may still be an uphill climb to reach the goal, but the values and reinforcements are already in place to make the challenge worth every demanding task along the way.
